This is my San Francisco: a town full of color and whimsy and serendipity. Expect to see things the tourists don't come for and the locals take for granted. I always seem to take my favorite shots on the way to do something else.

New Urbanity

The St. Regis Hotel on Third and Mission, consists of the historic Williams Building ( an '06 survivor) and the tower on the right. Another egg crate provides a backdrop. The thing that looks like an Asian billboard is some sort of art installation the provenance of which I have yet to find. But it is eye-catching, especially when back-lit at night.
